For more than 100 years, that's been the commitment of the Adoption program at The Children's Home of Pittsburgh. We support birthparents, adoptive parents and their children throughout all stages of the adoption process and beyond. From infertility counseling, to counseling for women facing unplanned pregnancies, to help with research and reunion, our services address all aspects of the lifelong experience of adoption. The Children’s Home of Pittsburgh is a state licensed, private, non-profit organization. We have been a licensed adoption agency for 112 years and have completed more than 7,000 adoptions. We are a comprehensive infant adoption agency, and we place infants of all races, including special needs infants, in safe, permanent and loving homes. These programs include: Adoption – serving infants, birthparents and persons seeking to adopt, Transitional Infant Care (T.I.C. ®) Hospital – serving premature and high-risk infants and their families, Child’s Way® -- a pediatric extended care center serving medically fragile infants and children, and Pediatric Transitional Care -- short-term transitional care from hospital to home for pediatric patients who are technology dependent and who may suffer from life threatening illnesses. | |
