Detailed Description: Northridge Hospital Medical Center is dedicated to providing compassionate, quality healthcare services to every individual which is why we just celebrated our 50th Anniversary. Since we are still celebrating our 50th Anniversary, perhaps you will want to partner with us in our celebration.
Established in 1955 with just 49 beds, Northridge Hospital Medical Center currently is a 425-bed, non-profit hospital that serves the growing San Fernando Valley community of 1.9 million residents through its many Centers of Excellence and a variety of healthcare programs. In 2005 the hospital provided health care services to 130,955 patients. Additionally, Northridge Hospital provided charity care to 38,400 people at a cost of more than $6,500,000 to the hospital. Each year this figure seems to increase and we are hard put to bring in what is needed.
Because today’s economic climate has presented us with unprecedented challenges to adequately fund needed state of-the-art equipment and technology for Northridge Hospital. We are one of 41 hospitals and employ 14,000 employees all of whom are made aware of any contributions made to the hospital. Northridge Hospital’s 50 years of providing healthcare is due to the community’s support and need. We are a not for profit hospital and need support from all areas to keep the hospital functioning, hopefully, for the next 50 years.
Northridge Hospital Foundations Children’s Assault Treatment Services (CATS) is a place where abused children find help and healing in safety and comfort.
Child abuse is a national problem that has increased to epidemic proportions in the United States. More that 3 million reports of child abuse are made annually and yet statistics tell us that 90-95% of all cases go unreported to the police.
CATS was established in 1997 in response to this very critical need in our community. Today CATS is the ONLY 24-hour multi-disciplinary immediate response treatment program for victims of physical and sexual abuse serving the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys and neighboring cities.
