All basic services are provided to include individualized case-management, vocational and educational services, medical and psychological services, housing placement and long-term follow-up services. The agency sponsors the only full-time program for sheltered youth in Saint Louis. Activities include after-school tutoring, computer training, cooking, sewing, Scouts, art therapy, camping, field trips, etc. Outreach services include a full-service food pantry that is open on a daily basis, a food bank that collects and distributes food to benefit other homeless service agencies, our "School Supplies 4 Kids" campaign that benefits about 4000 homeless children, our "Kids Caring 4 Kids" campaign that collects and distributes new toys at Christmas to benefit more than 6000 children, our "Operation Brown Bag" program that provides nutritious and fresh brown-bag lunches for street people, our "Warm Wishes" campaign that collects and distributes blankets and warm winter clothing to benefit the homeless, and our new "19th Street Cafe" program that will provide hot meals for homeless persons on a daily basis. | |
