In 2006 our organization was responsible for the development of a Prevention Clinic in collaboration with a local Health Disparity Coalition group. The clinic is held monthly and offers free health screenings for cancer and other chronic diseases (i.e., diabetes, HIV/AIDS, heart disease, mental health, etc.) We also are responsible for the development of a Resource Room within our office, which offers access to health prevention strategies and other health related information via the Internet, and other visual media. Our collaborations include many other health and social service organizations both locally and nationally. We continually strive to improve the health status of the minority and medically under-served communities.
