Founded in 1970 by area religious organizations to encourage the development of affordable housing for families and individuals in the area, the agency has since broadened its program scope and service area to address the most pressing social needs of our neighbors in Northern Virginia. From its beginnings as a vehicle for the faith community to support its neighbors in need, Reston Interfaith has become a leading social service provider in Northern Virginia – offering comprehensive programs for more than 13,000 individuals and families in Reston, Herndon and the surrounding area last year. Services are organized and delivered through four departments, each of which offers programs for at-risk men, women and children.
