Pets For the Elderly pays the fees for senior citizens (over 60 years of age) who adopt a companion pet from a participating shelter -- to include adoption fee, pre-adoption veterinary exam and spay/neuter. Almost 5,000 companion pets were saved from possible euthanasia in 2002 -- and 5,000 senior citizens were given the gift of health & happiness through pet companionship.
