We are the official rescue of the Berkeley Municipal Animal Shelter where we rescue animals who are on list to be euthanized. Because of our work with the shelter we have dramatically brought down the kill rate in the last couple of years. We are mainly a group of volunteers whose sole intention are to help these animals. We hold mobile adoptions every week and are constantly fundraising so that we me be able to increase our number of adoptions and to also increase the capabilities of our organization. All of the animals that our organizations takes in are spay/neutered before they are adopted out. Our goal is to decrease the need of organizations such as ourselves and to educate the public about the pet overpopulation problem in the bay area of California. There is an absolute need for our organization in the community and as we expand we hope to decrease the need for organizations such as ours in the surrounding area. | |
