Registered with the State of Wisconsin Dept of Revenue State Exemption Certificate No. is ES 37575 Community Projects serves the seniors in subsidized housing in 5 counties of southeastern Wisconsin: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Ozaukee and Racine. Our mission is to reduce loneliness and despair experienced by the elderly in our community. We designed holiday meal delivery programs and outings to influence their attitudes, feelings, and self-esteem. It is our goal to improve the quality of their everyday lives by providing joyful activities. Volunteers deliver free hot meals right to approx. 120 low income subsidized housing facilities in 5 counties. Free holiday meal delivery is designed for seniors with no family or other resources. We also sponsor outings that include beverages, buffet lunch, two-way transportation by school bus, clowns and face painting, 2 hours of live music, fun, games, hugs, and social interaction with other low income seniors. Outings include Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, 4th of July, and Halloween. When our budget allows it, we also sponsor trips to the zoo, symphony, sporting event, or musical event. FUNDING We are funded primarily by public contributions. This is accomplished over the telephone and by mail to businesses and individuals in southeastern Wisconsin. We also organize fund raisers such as our cribbage tournament, musical Oldies, chili fest, and family fun fest. We also sell candy bars and other products. AFFILIATIONS We are a single entity. We are not associated or affiliated with any national, regional, state or local organization, business, charity, church, political group, or governmental agency. We have one office in St. Francis, Wisconsin. From here, we serve the seniors in 5 counties. | |
