Our goal is to help improve the lives of all companion animals by raising awareness on the importance of selecting the right pet which fits with the prospective owner's lifestyle and the responsibilities of caring for their new pet. Although Nature First specializes in exotic animals and birds, we rescue native wildlife and cats,dogs,puppies and kittens. We have an impressive track-record of placing companion pets in homes with loving families. We do follow up home checks after the adoption process to be sure there are no disappointments. All animals are given vet. checks and the proper immunizations before final adoption takes place. We are in the process of working with local vets. to implement a low/no cost healthcare and spay/neuter program, which will be offered to the elderly and low-income families. Currently we are seeking funding to build a cageless bird house for the many parrots in our possession. We are also in need of funds to offer educational seminars and programs to the public, teaching them the proper way to select a pet and how to care for their specific choice. | |
