NDARS is committed to providing effective and organized immediate assistance and care to animals in disaster areas within hours of the initial disaster. NDARS operates with an all-volunteer staff. NDARS volunteers are stationed throughout the United States, and are equipped with the information, supplies, and training that can be dispatched immediately to any area affected by natural or man-made disasters. NDARS provides education to the general public for insuring that in the aftermath of a natural disaster, the resources available for their animals are clear cut and easily accessible. NDARS assists all animals; companion animals such as dogs, cats, birds...exotics and reptiles... farming animals such as horses and cattle. All of them deserve a fighting chance during disasters. | |
