The Mission of The Unforgettables Foundation is to:
• Encourage communities to recognize the financial trauma which is often associated with death of a child;
• Enable low-income families to give their children a dignified burial;
• Empower communities to memorialize children who have died;
• Educate parents and children's caregivers to confront, control and conquer the primary risks to our children's health and wholeness.
The Unforgettables Foundation is the fulfillment of a dream of Timothy Evans, chaplain in a Southern California children's hospital. During a decade of clinical ministry to children and their families, Evans helped dozens of families to deal with the many crises surrounding the death of a child-not the least of which are the crushing financial burdens experienced by families with limited resources.
Assisted by Service Corporation International, an international funeral services company, Evans and many friends in the "Inland Empire" of Southern California created the Unforgettables Foundation. Paramount among aspects of the organization's mission is to assist low-income families provide a dignified, appropriate burial for their children who have died.
An equally-important aspect of the Foundation's mission is its program of education. Programming to inform parents, children's caregivers and whole communities about what must be done to ensure the safety and well-being of children is vigorously pursued locally, regionally and nationally.
Financial support for The Unforgettables Foundation comes entirely through the generous philanthropic gifts of individuals, corporations and foundations. All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

FACT
It is a sad truth that many Inland Empire families are unable to afford a funeral when a child dies of illness or accident. A fund established by The Unforgettables Foundationassists families that have limited resources to arrange a dignified, respectful burial when facing these tragic circumstances.
The Foundation's help is granted to families throughout the Inland Empire. Requests for aid come from hospitals, social service agencies, and families themselves.
During 2001, 78 families received funeral assistance from the Foundation. Over 100 families sought help from the Foundation in 2002.
The Unforgettables Foundation is operated almost entirely by volunteers.
CPR2U
Each year, children die in accidents because immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) care is not available. The Unforgettables Foundation, in an effort to keep our children alive, is responding by creating the Childhood Preventions Road show "CPR-2U". In this program, trained volunteer CPR instructors will hold group training sessions throughout Southern California in churches, synagogues, clinics, schools and offices.

So far, over 1000 people have been trained in CPR both in English and Spanish languages.
